Hello All -- I'm looking to create a manual RMAN backup of our 10g database, but have the backup save to a different location(?) than what the default is.
Scenario: Oracle 10g on a Windows 2003 R2 Server - Oracle is installed on the C:\.
I'm looking to create a backup of the 10g db by using the command "RMAN>backup archivelog all delete input;" but I want to redirect the backup to a directory on D:\ or even the root of D:\. I will then backup the results to tape. We finally got our db stable and I want to start backing up the db soon. I want to have a full backup of C:\ as well as the RMAN backup on D:\. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I have little experience with Oracle and I'm learning as I go so please bear with me.
